12th June 2015
Our London office recently saw 18 of Hawkins' experts meet to discuss topical issues for our materials scientists.
The day commenced with Elly Jay from our Reigate office presenting her recent research into the failures of a particular type of plumbing fitting.
Andy Bryce from our Bristol office then went on to give a talk on “Slow crack growth in polymers”, with Rod Newbery from Cambridge following with a discussion on “Hairy hoses”. The lectures concluded with Andrew Prickett, also from our Reigate office, talking about issues encountered with a certain valve.
Said Andrew Moncrieff, our Managing Director, “this was a great opportunity to get our materials scientists together and there were plenty of thought-provoking discussions during the day. We run these events regularly, both for our materials scientists and other disciplines within Hawkins”.
If you have a case where you think you might need a materials expert, please give us a call. We are happy to talk the matter over with you, without obligation, to determine whether we will be able to help.
