Following the opening of the seventh office in Reigate last year, Hawkins has continued to expand its number of investigators with the recent recruitment of:

  • Darren Cronk - Reigate office
  • Jonathan Emm - Manchester office
  • Robin McIntyre - Cambridge office

Darren Cronk

Darren is a mechanical engineer and joins us from South Africa where his experience included working as the plant engineer for a scrap steel foundry, producing high carbon billet steel.

Darren embraced a wide range of engineering challenges encompassing inductive furnaces, cranes, specialised dust extraction plants and continuous casting machines; key components of this heavy industry environment.

Jonathan Emm

Jonathan is a materials engineer who joined BAE systems in 2000 as an engineer in the Advanced Technology Centre, Stealth Materials Group. He led a team of engineers and scientists in developing a sprayable, radar absorbent coating for aircrafts.

In 2003 Jonathan joined Cytec Engineered Materials, where he ran qualification testing programmes for aerospace composite materials. His customers included Airbus, Boeing and Lockheed Martin.

Robin McIntyre

Robin started his career as a Materials Chemist for a nanotechnology company, Oxonica, testing materials' characterisation and polymer materials as well as working on a nanotechnology based marker system for anti-counterfeiting and brand protection.

Robin spent a brief period of time with Pera Innovation, working as a Consultant and a Development Technologist in the Polymers Division where he worked on DTI and EC funded projects.

You can read more about each of our new recruits in our people and we will feature them in a future newsletter.
