BE Mechanical Engineering - University College, Dublin
CEng Chartered Engineer
MIMechE Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers
Christina graduated with an Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering from University College Dublin, Ireland. As part of her degree she studied an optional course in bioengineering, including a work placement with a medical device design company. During her final year she also carried out research into the stresses and strains in the bones of the human foot and their roles in the aetiology of various medical conditions.
After graduating, Christina took up a position as a design engineer with Timoney Technology, Ireland where she gained expertise in the design of automotive suspension systems and drivelines for military vehicles and HGVs including computer modelling of suspension behaviour and finite element analysis of suspension and driveline components.
Christina then decided to return to her Scottish home where she took on the role of senior design engineer with Clansman Dynamics. She managed projects involving innovative design of new concepts in industrial robotics. The design of these heavy duty industrial robots required an in depth understanding of finite element analysis, motion analysis and dynamics.
Christina joined Hawkins in 2009. Since joining she has carried out numerous investigations into road traffic accidents where her engineering knowledge and understanding of motion analysis along with many years as a keen motorcyclist have given her a strong insight. She has given expert evidence in Scottish and English courts, including the Court of Session in Edinburgh
Christina is currently an Associate based in our Glasgow office.
