Hawkins expands its Civil Engineering team

Hawkins is pleased to welcome Andy Ingle who has joined our Reigate office and Civil Engineering Team.

Andy started his career working in a civil / structural design office carrying out structural and geotechnical analysis and design for commercial office developments before joining Thames Water. During six years at Thames Water he was involved in the design of a number of sewerage and sewage treatment schemes and spent a year supervising the construction of a major urban sewer renewal scheme.

In 1997 Andy moved into Loss Adjusting, expanding his engineering knowledge into the insurance arena and specialising in the investigation and rectification of structural damage associated with ground movement.

Working initially for Loss Adjusters Cunningham Lindsey and then Crawford and Company before joining Halifax Home Insurance (now part of Lloyds Banking Group), Andy has determined the causes of a wide range of losses from small domestic claims for water ingress through to retaining wall failures and catastrophic building collapses.

In addition to his investigative experience, Andy also has extensive claims handling and property reinstatement experience in respect of damage caused by ground movement, flooding, water ingress, escapes of water and vehicle impacts as well as damage to underground services. He also has experience of legal liability claims in respect of tree root nuisance.
