Hong Kong Office Hosts Seminar in New Meeting Room

On 26 June, Hawkins Hong Kong had a successful in-house seminar in their new meeting room. Loss adjusters from McLarens, Sedgwick, Charles Taylor and Lawrence & Wong were in attendance.

Dr Sophie Parsons gave a 30 minute presentation on both land and marine based materials work, and also introduced local clients to materials expert Dr Chun Chan. Dr Parsons will be returning to the UK shortly, but Dr Chan has been, and will continue to investigate materials failures in the Asia Pacific region.

Dr Parsons, Dr Chan and Dr John Allum also concluded the presentation with their excitement for the fact that Hawkins is developing a civil engineering presence in Asia, allowing the company to investigate a wider variety of claims. The Hong Kong Office also looks forward to hosting an evening event shortly.

The seminar was accompanied by a grilled eel rice bowl lunch, and was followed by a discussion over coffee. If your office is interested in attending a lunchtime seminar at one of the Hawkins offices, please contact us. In the UK offices we may not have fresh eel nearby, but case studies and thorough engineering research will always be on the menu.

Dr Allum, Dr Parsons and Dr Chan address thank everyone who was able to attend.
