Hawkins is very proud to congratulate the following people for ten years of dedication and hard work:
- Ian Major – Principal Associate, and Regional Manager of the Reigate Office
- Nicola Fallowfield-Smith –Senior Associate at the Reigate Office, and Marketing Manager
- Will Hutchinson – Senior Associate at the Leeds Office
- Maxine Sherrington –Secretary at the Birmingham Office
- Lorraine Houghton—Secretary at the Cambridge Office

Ian Major has not only investigated fires and civil engineering failures, but also managed the Reigate Office since 2016. He is pictured here helping to plan the layout of our office on the Perrywood Business Park, as well as investigating a fire in a deep fat fryer on a sunny day.

Nicola Fallowfield-Smith investigates both fires and escapes of water. Her most recent years at Hawkins have also included being a returning guest lecturer for mechanical engineering students at University College London, as well as managing the Marketing team.

Although Will’s day job involves investigating fires, he has also taken advantage of his camera skills to win a photography competition held by the UK Association of Fire Investigators. During his time with Hawkins, he has featured as an expert on The Crime and Investigation channel’s new documentary series Shallow Grave.

Maxine has been a important part of the secretarial team in the Birmingham Office for the last ten years. Aside from her secretarial skills, Maxine’s friendliness and reliability have made her a popular member of the office. She has also enjoyed taking part in our annual company meeting activities as a worthy participant.

Lorraine has been a secretary at the Cambridge Office, providing support to not only our investigators and engineers, but also the community. In both 2016 and 2019, Lorraine took part in the charitable Santa Run to help raise money for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices.
We hope that the next years at Hawkins for Ian, Nicola, Will, Maxine and Lorraine will be just as fulfilling, and we thank them for all they have contributed.
