Marine Forensic Science aboard HMS Belfast

On Thursday 24th of May 2018, Hawkins joined with Captain John L David from Marine Professionals to host a networking event for our clients. Approximately 70 guests attended the event, where they were able to enjoy the sunset on the River Thames in the authentic atmosphere of the light cruiser HMS Belfast.

Hawkins’ Dr John Allum delivered a 40 minute presentation on Hazards of Marine Investigations followed by a Q&A session. Afterwards, attendees were able to chat with experts from our London, Bristol, Reigate, Manchester, Singapore, Hong Kong and Cambridge offices whilst enjoying drinks and nibbles.

Hawkins’ experts specialise in cargo spoilage and contamination, crane and gantry collapse, damage within the shipyard, historical ships and many other marine and shipping incidents. We are happy to help and give you free telephone advice if you deal with damage and subsequent losses from a marine or shipping incident. Please contact us to discuss.

If you’re interested in hearing about future events of this kind, please get in touch to be added to our events mailing list.
