Treasure Hunters

The evening of 9 June 2016 saw a crack team of Hawkins personnel from our Reigate and Bristol offices, plus our LV companion Di from Leeds, compete in the ‘LV Suppliers Team Treasure Hunt’ on the seafront in Bournemouth in the pursuit of raising some money for the ‘Save the Rhino’ charity, and having a bit of fun in the sun.

Over twenty teams constructed and sailed origami boats on the Winter Gardens river (River Bourne), hunted for lions in a ‘Hipster Bar’ and filmed scenes for a remake of Baywatch. As part of the challenge of the ‘hunt’ selfies were taken with squirrels, rhinos and painted ladies, and ‘Treasure’ was collected from some of Bournemouth’s iconic venues and amusement arcades.

The Hawkins team was proud to take home the winner’s trophy, but most importantly great fun was had by all and money was raised for a worthwhile cause.

Our great thanks go to all those involved in the evening and especially Jamie, Tim and John of LV for making the arrangements; and to Davies for the supporting the event. Hawkins look forward to participating in the Treasure Hunt in London next summer.
