This webinar will take place at 9.30am BST

Vehicle crashworthiness refers to a vehicle’s ability to protect its occupants in the event of a collision.  This encompasses various aspects of safety, including the vehicle’s capacity to deform and absorb energy whilst preserving the integrity of the occupant compartment, and the restraint systems used to help manage occupant movements.

Although each vehicle is unique, the crash structure of each car generally adheres to a consistent pattern based on best practice for crashworthiness.

In this webinar, Road Traffic Collision Investigator, Ross Clarke provides an overview of the development of vehicle safety.  His presentation includes:

This webinar is part three of six in a series from our Road Traffic Collision team which includes presentations on a variety of topics including Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), collision reconstructions and how video analysis is used when investigating collisions.
