New Starters Harry Meatyard

We are delighted to announce that Harry Meatyard has joined Hawkins as an Associate in our London office.

Harry is a Chartered Civil Engineer specialising in geotechnics and holds an integrated Master’s degree in Civil and Structural Engineering from the University of Leeds. He has extensive experience in geotechnical design for multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects. He spent four years specialising in the design and construction of earthworks, soil nails, retaining walls, and foundations. During this time, he developed expertise in shallow and piled foundation design and contributed to major projects such as High Speed 2 and the A12 Chelmsford to A120 Widening Scheme.

In 2023, Harry joined Transport for London’s Earth Structures and Geotechnical Engineering department, gaining valuable experience in the assessment and remediation of railway earthworks and retaining walls. He contributed to the Piccadilly Line Upgrade, designing earthworks, piled foundations, and both sheet pile and gravity retaining walls.

Harry brings hands-on site experience, having supervised construction and ground investigation works for highways and rail projects, including CFA pile installation for step-free access works at Leyton Station. Additionally, he has carried out geotechnical asset inspections for National Highways and Transport for London, supporting asset management strategies and renewal planning.

We are pleased to welcome Harry to the team and look forward to the skills and expertise he will bring to our investigations.
