Stefano graduated with highest honours from the University of Napoli Federico II, where he earned both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Chemical Engineering. He then pursued a PhD in the Engineering of Industrial Products and Processes, completing his thesis in Computational Fluid Dynamics in 2025.
During his doctoral studies, Stefano worked on a broad range of topics in fluid mechanics, including complex fluids, multiphase flows, combustion, and flame‑induced deformations, across various industrial applications. He modelled, solved, and analysed complex phenomena using diverse methodological approaches and process conditions, publishing his findings in peer‑reviewed journals.
After completing his PhD, Stefano spent a brief period as a researcher at Sorbonne University in Paris, where he had previously undertaken a six‑month visiting research placement during his doctoral programme, before progressing into a forensic engineering role.
Stefano joined Hawkins in February 2026 as an Associate based in our Rome office.
