William gained a broad and deep understanding of materials science during his integrated master’s degree, specialising in high-resolution characterisation of aluminium alloys for his final-year research project. During this time, he completed internships across diverse fields, from battery and nuclear material development to data analysis for a professional cycling team.
After graduating from the University of Oxford, William joined Renishaw, a leading manufacturing and metrology company, where he worked as a materials scientist in the metal additive manufacturing and failure analysis departments.
William joined Hawkins in November 2025 as an Associate based in the London office
