Hawkins’ Built Environment Team Members Attend the Society of Construction Law Spring Conference

Built Environment

On Friday 4th March, two members of Hawkins’ Built Environment Team will be attending the annual Society of Construction Law (SCL) Spring Conference at the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds. Forensic Architect Niralee Casson, and Fire Engineer James Clarke, are both looking forward to it.

Niralee also recently attended the SCL Building Safety Bill lecture and says, “I’m excited for a week of SCL in-person events. I’m looking forward to hearing leading fire safety experts’ opinions on the much-anticipated Building Safety Bill, especially given their individual perspectives on how the Bill will impact the construction industry. As well as the industry update on construction law, the TCC, dispute resolution and adjudication that the Spring Conference will provide, I’m particularly interested in Tom Owen’s talk, “Claims involving Defective Buildings,” as that is a subject matter I spend most of my time on!”
The SCL has published a ‘Top 5 Reasons’ to attend their Spring Conference:

Hawkins’ Built Environment Team always looks forward to expanding their knowledge and assisting wherever possible within the construction industry. If you don’t get a chance to speak to either Niralee or James at the SCL conference, but have a question for them (or for any of our Built Environment Team), please feel free to contact us.
