Alex is a forensic accountant, with over 30 years experience, specialising in the investigation, analysis and quantification of complex financial losses, business interruption claims and commercial disputes. He provides clear, robust financial analysis and practical commercial insight to support claims, negotiations and strategic decision-making.
Alex graduated from Cardiff Business School and qualified with KPMG. Prior to joining Hawkins in 2009, he gained experience across process manufacturing, R&D and construction, working with global organisations including Associated British Foods, Caterpillar, 3M and Unilever.

Alex’s instructions range from focused financial reviews to complex engagements, including a £120m business valuation and funding review. He is frequently appointed where independent, expert financial analysis is required to support claims, disputes, negotiations and commercial decision-making.
Alex is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). He is a Director of Hawkins Forensic Accounting Practice and CFO for the Hawkins Group of Companies.
