CPD: What Lies Beneath Forensic Investigation & Drinks Reception
Hawkins are delighted to invite our clients and colleagues to our CPD What Lies Beneath panel presentation and drinks reception at One Moorgate Place, London.
Guests are invited to join us from 4:30 pm for a 5.00 pm start. We commence with a CILA accredited CPD presentation followed by a networking reception with drinks and canapés.
There will also be an opportunity to examine real-life exhibits from Hawkins casework and experience a 3D virtual walk-through of a fire scene using a VR headset.
The experts will present a live forensic investigation into a major urban sinkhole, showcasing how geotechnical, materials science and electrical engineering evidence is tested, analysed and correlated to determine causation and support complex, high-value claims.

Meet The Presenters
The panel will present their findings to help determine potential liability exposures and the apportionment of responsibility across the various incidents.
Geotechnical Expert Yvonne Ainsworth will uncover how ground conditions, buried assets and saturation combined to trigger catastrophic ground failure.
Mechanical and Materials Expert Nick Wright will reveal how forensic examination of pipework determined whether failure stemmed from defect or workmanship.
Electrical Engineer Richard Heath will explore how unexpected electrical incidents provided crucial evidence in understanding the wider failure.
Joining the panel will be a guest speaker from Crawfords, Luke Brannigan, offering a client perspective on the investigation and claims journey.
