Gigi completed a degree in Natural Sciences at Lancaster University, specialising in Mechanical Engineering and Astrophysics. She then undertook an internship with Foster & Partners, working within the Sustainability Department. In this role, she collaborated on international construction projects aimed at reducing environmental impact and encouraging the adoption of emerging technologies.

She subsequently attained a Master’s degree in Architectural Engineering from the University of Bath. During her studies, she conducted a research project focused on contaminated land and water systems, analysing data relating to heavy metal pollution. This work ultimately led to her co-authoring an academic paper on water infrastructure and phytoremediative techniques.

After graduating, Gigi spent two years specialising in design and construction within the built environment sector. During this time, she developed particular expertise in fire engineering, producing fire strategies for a wide range of building types. She also worked in research and data analysis relating to energy and emissions calculation and reduction.

In her role at Hawkins, she draws on her experience in fire engineering, alongside her research and data analysis expertise, to conduct investigative analysis and examine forensic scenes.

Gigi joined Hawkins in July 2026 as an Associate based in our London office.
