Hawkins Welcomes Materials Engineer William Metcalf

We are delighted to welcome William Metcalf to Hawkins as an Associate based in our London office. 

William completed his integrated master’s degree at Oxford University, where he specialised in high-resolution characterisation of aluminium alloys for his final-year research project. His academic journey also included internships across diverse fields, from battery and nuclear material development to data analysis for a professional cycling team. 

After graduating, William worked as a materials scientist in the metal additive manufacturing and failure analysis departments at a leading manufacturing and metrology company. This experience has equipped him with valuable expertise in advanced materials and forensic investigations. 

William joined Hawkins in November 2025, and we are excited to have him on board.
