Prior to his arrival in Hong Kong, Chun worked at Technip Umbilicals as a metallurgy development engineer and was responsible for planning and managing research & development projects. He provided technical support to the manufacturing team and conducted engineering critical assessment and material failure analysis on damaged products at the factory.
Through his study and work, Chun is familiar with many mechanical testing methods such as tensile, fatigue and hardness testing. He also has experience using a range of material analysis techniques such as x-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), and energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (EDAX).
Chun joined Hawkins HFS in 2016, specialising in metallurgy, corrosion and welding failures. Since joining the company, he has been involved in conducting material failure analysis and corrosion product assessment. Chun is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
